Hi! I’m Nikole and I’ve been in the kitchen cooking since I was 8 years old. I have pretty much tried my hand at cooking everything…from wedding cakes, to Baked Alaska, to stuffed pork loin and apple pie (still in search of the perfect recipe!). I’ve burnt 150 handmade icing roses in the oven (not a good place to store things when you are lacking counter space) and have been known to start small kitchen fires now and then. All in a good days work in my opinion.
I started this blog because I make up recipes and try new dishes all time and constantly forget to write down the best ones. Now I have a place to keep them and hopefully you can enjoy some of them too. And even better if some of my cooking “mishaps” bring a smile to your face. My theory is that if my kitchen does not look like WWIII has struck, I have not finished cooking.
What you might also enjoy about my blog are menu ideas for hosting “in the kitchen” dinner parties. Inspired by the cooking parties my good friend Jen Landers and I host, I’ve recreated those menus and time lines for hosting your own “in the kitchen” dinner parties. What better way to get together with friends then in your kitchen where they do all the cooking?
